By day I am the Orchid Grower at Longwood Gardens, in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. There I am responsible for the curation, culture, and display of the collection. I have also begun breeding programs to develop new hybrids of horticultural and display merit.
My orchid work has taken me across the globe, both on work trips and personal ones.
In 2012 I completed my Bachelors degree in Music Education, whereafter I became the orchid grower at Parkside Orchid Nursery. I then moved to the Big Island of Hawaii where I grew orchids at a wholesale orchid nursery.
In 2015 I returned to Pennsylvania to begin my Masters in Divinity from Missio Seminary (previously Biblical Theological Seminary), which I completed in 2019. At the same time I began my work at Longwood Gardens.
